In Class: Today we began our discussion of the 2nd amendment; we went through the context and history of the 2nd amendment and you began reading through arguments and court cases pertaining to the 2nd amendment (we will wrap this up next class)

Journal #1: Pink page in packet

In Class: Today we went over the art of speech--- focusing on PATHOS, ETHOS, LOGOS :) You chose 2 speakers to listen to (comedian, TED talk, teacher, politician etc) and graded them on their use of the 3 pieces of rhetoric

Homework: If you didn't finish listening to the speeches in class, make sure it's finished and ready to go by Friday :)

In Class: Today we wrapped up 'Una Vida Mejor' with a discussion and quiz! You also turned your packets in! I also gave you a reading 'How can I call this my home' that will prepare you for our next class with a socratic seminar! Please read the document and come prepared with questions!

In Class: Today we went through the presidential selection and election process; its long, complicated, room for error etc. You filled out the peach page in your notes!

Homework: Make sure that your packets are caught up to the peach page.  Start thinking about your CAP point projects! They will be due December 12th!
